This letter is being sent to inform you of the upcoming health and puberty education series.  The presentations cover information related to the natural changes in children’s bodies that happen during puberty.  This is mandated curriculum for State of California.   Our program is taught by trained puberty education and sexuality specialist through Superstar Health Education.  S.H.E has a great reputation for helping educate children and families about the many aspects of growing up.  The make learning about growing up fun, shame-free, medically accurate and engaging for the students.
The series is a four,  1-hour sessions for a total of 4 hours.  The dates of the series are _______________________ .  All sessions will be overseen by your child’s regular classroom teacher, who will be able to answer any questions that arise.  The children will also been given workbooks that contain a homework that they will be bringing home to share with parent, guardians and trusted adults in their lives.   We would like to encourage you to talk with your child about what they are learning during the sessions.  Also, you can use the workbook as a starting point for discussions.
